Very scarce and only the second BSA made early P1876 Martini Henry Socket Bayonet with blackened socket. Scabbard and blade both in good condition.

The first contract to make the 1876 pattern bayonet for Martini Henry rifles was given to the Birmingham Small Arms & Metal Co. (BSA) and to the London Small Arms Co. Ltd, with an order of 28000 bayonets. Owing to some problems in production, only 16730 of these passed government inspection and further contracts where passed to Enfield - making these BSA bayonets very rare.

64.5 cm sheathed.
