A superbly framed set of Rorkes Drift relics aquired from Cathay Militaria in South Africa in the 1990s. They where part of a private South African collection and where originally collected in the 1950s and 60s. When this collection was sold off, many of the framed sets made it to the UK and now very rarely make it to the auction market. Recognisable by the unique framing style, the last one sold was by Wallis and Wallis in 2013 and fetched over £4000.

Frame contains: 3 Martini Henry bullets; 3 crushed Martini Heny cartridges (fired); 3 Martini Henry Cartridges (ends, fired); Boot Heel; Fired Endfield Cartridge End; Screws and Buckles; and a rare Zulu used part of a 1853 Musket.

While Zulu War Relics are in several UK collections, very rarly do they come with this sort of provenance and presentation.

Comes with all papers and correspondance.
